SMS Terms

Effective date: August 24, 2026

This document is a template for information only. It is not legal advice. Adapt it to your jurisdiction and operation before you rely on it.

Quathos Sign can deliver signing invitations, reminders and one-time codes by text message. This page explains when we send them, how to stop them, and what it costs. It applies only when the customer sending you a document has enabled SMS delivery — most envelopes go by email alone.

1. What we send

Only transactional messages tied to a specific document or account action:

  • An invitation to sign a document that someone sent you.
  • A reminder about a document still awaiting your signature, or nearing its deadline.
  • A one-time code to confirm your identity while signing, or to sign in to your account.

2. What we never send

We do not send marketing, promotions or newsletters by text, and we do not sell, rent or share phone numbers with anyone for their own marketing. Your number reaches our SMS provider for the sole purpose of delivering the message.

3. How often

Message frequency depends entirely on how many documents are sent to you — we do not send on a schedule of our own. A single envelope typically produces one invitation, at most a small number of reminders, and one code per signing attempt.

4. Cost

We do not charge you for messages. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier, according to your plan. International rates may apply if your number is outside the country the message originates from.

5. Stopping messages

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts at that number. You will get one confirmation, and nothing after it. Reply HELP for assistance, or write to contact@quathos.com.

Stopping texts does not cancel a pending signature request: the document remains waiting for you, and the sender may still reach you by email. If you no longer wish to sign, tell the person who sent it — that is a decision between you and them, not something we decide on your behalf.

6. Delivery is not guaranteed

Delivery depends on your carrier and is not guaranteed. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Because a signing deadline may depend on a message arriving, treat email as the authoritative channel — every SMS we send corresponds to something also available by email or in your account.

7. Changing your number

If you give up or change a phone number, update it in your account or tell the sender. Messages meant for you would otherwise go to whoever receives that number next.

8. Contact
